SVR 2010 is a colossal disappointment. The roster is nothing special. And that's being kind. No legends. No hall of famers. The game makes you go through season modes to unlock nobodies! Ezekial Jackson. The red or green practice dummy guys. Eve the diva. No Hulk Hogan. No Andre the Giant. No Roddy Piper. No Junkyard Dog. No Iron Sheik. Of course there are a hundred other wrestlers this game should have, but you get the idea. Give me a break, THQ. Unlock an old man Dusty Rhoads? Old man Bob Orton? OMG! At least put in a Capt. Lou Albano or a Jimmy Hart or somebody. King Kong Bundy. On the plus side they do include the Rock and Stone Cold (if you preorder from another store--not Amazon btw). That is shameless. EVERYBODY who preorders should get the Steve Austin character--c'mon THQ! Not fair.

Online play is HORRIBLE! JUST HORRIBLE! It is slow and glitchy. It is full of those noob players who create silly-looking characters and assign all the moves that are impossible or unreasonably difficult to counter. The response time is RIDICULOUS. Whatever buttons you press, the effects of those choices will not register online for another two seconds--usually letting the other guy manhandle you for the match. The worse--but funniest--experience is when all people in the match are experiencing the slowdown and nobody can wrestle effectively. My connection is top speed cable--yadda yadda. All my other games--Call of Duty WaW, Left 4 Dead, Fight Night, etc are just fine and smooth online.

Playing offline is fun enough. But the animations are slower this year. Feels a bit clunky. Needs to be faster, more like the old Smackdowns.

Creating characters is fun. There are more options.

But the ref ALWAYS gets in the way. Especially ONLINE! Noobs online manuever behind the ref to screw you up and then cheat a win out of you.

So, rent this game. Do not buy it. Unless of course you don't need a special roster and online play is not fun for you anyway. Then you should buy it.

It's too bad. We wait a year for a good WWE game and they seem to be getting worse every year.
